Turns out, something as simple as a color changes a viewers behavior or pulls people to your products or service.

“Research reveals people make a sub-conscious judgement about an environment of product within 90 seconds of initial viewing. Between 62% and 90% of that assessment is based on color alone.”

 

Which colors trigger which emotion for us?

Knowing what colors triggers us to think in which way isn’t always obvious. Below is a breakdown of which colors trigger what emotion.

YELLOW

Clarity, cheerfulness, warmth, causes fatigue and strain on the eyes, stimulates mental processes, stimulates nervous system, encourages communication, represents optimism, youthfulness, grab attention

ORANGE

Excitement, enthusiasm, warmth, caution, aggression, call to action, impulsive, friendly, cheerful, confident

RED

Strong emotions, increases and stimulate appetite, passion, intensity, love, increased heart rate, urgency, impulsive

PURPLE

Royalty, wealth, success, wisdom, soothing, calming, creative, imaginative, wise

BLUE

Peace. calmness, serenity, curbs appetite, productive, security, trust

GREEN

Health, tranquility, natural, alleviates depression, new growth, relaxing, wealthy, fertility
